I was walking down the street one day
The rozzers grabbed me, dragged me away
I was kicking and screaming, they pulled on my hair
They flung me in the pokey and they left me there

The next morning in comes Big Sam, he says “Do you know who I am?”
I says, “You're Big Sam, like a fat hunk o' ham, Big Sam that's who you am.”

He says, “Don't gie us no trouble boy
'Cos I can double your trouble at the drop of my hat.”
I says, “Big Sam you got a big yella hat, so double my trouble, yeah just do that.”

“I don't think you understand”, says Sam.
“I got the goods on you, I got you on the lam
Running up a racket on my side of town
Now I'm taking you down, taking back my crown.

“The Polis owes me a solid turn,
I'm calling it in you're gonna burn baby burn
All I'm gonna leave of you is ashes and bones
I’m gonna get your case tried by Bad Judge Jones.”

I says, “Bad Judge Jones disney frighten me
I got special topic photography
Of Judge Jones in the in flagrente
Wae another man's wife, and he's gieing her plenty

Sam took a turn and he went real pale,
He says, “I’m gauny leave you rotting in this jail.”
I told Big Sam he had the whole thing wrong
It was him would be singing up a jailbird song

I introduced him to my good mate Jim
Joined the rozzers just to keep himself slim
I advised him of my situation
And much to my delight and Big Sam's frustration

They held him on a trumped up charge
Ten years in Barlinnie and he's giving it large
Jim's getting skinny, Sam's getting wise
That's the tale of the Goodbye Guys
