about

This album was recorded in 1982 and originally released in 1983.

There were two versions of this album. The original version (this one) with no percussion and eight tracks, and the updated version with added percussion and six tracks.

The master tapes for both albums are now lost, and the digital versions were recovered from the vinyl.

Technical notes.

Resurrecting a 100% clean and pristine version of this redux version of the album was beyond my ability. I used iZotope's RX3, which was able to work miracles, but there was a limit to what I could achieve. You will hear in places a certain old familiar vinyl fizz on one or two tracks. It may add something to the authenticity of the listening experience!

On the runout of each original side (at the end of the title track and Tuz Tcholu) I have left in a bit of the noise that was removed from the rest of the project, partly so you can hear what I was up against, and partly because vinyl scratchiness is cool with the kids these days.
